Fun in the Sun

This summer, Taylor Vein Solutions was eager to increase awareness about varicose veins and common misconceptions surrounding vein health with our community.
Walking and physical activity is a great way to support general health and well-being. Our team was delighted to sponsor and attend three 5K events in the Metro-Detroit area: Give and Get Fit, Michigan Senior Olympics and Cruise in Shoes. Each of these events were unique and fun, and it was exciting to meet so many new people.

Our team was delighted to sponsor and attend three 5K events in the Metro-Detroit area: Give and Get Fit, Michigan Senior Olympics and Cruise in Shoes. The Give and Get Fit 5K took place July 30th, 2022 and was hosted by the Rhonda Walker Foundation (RWF). This is a non-profit organization founded in 2003 with a mission to help the successful development of teen girls into thriving young women. They do this through a five-year comprehensive education, career, mentoring, and personal development Girls into Women Program.
Two weeks later, on August 8th, it was time for the Michigan Senior Olympics. The Michigan Senior Olympics is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1979 and is a leading advocate in the senior health and fitness area for the past forty-one years! It was inspiring to meet so many individuals attending the 5k, despite age and medical challenges, simply because they loved it.

RWF strives to educate, empower and enrich inner city teen girls toward becoming strong, confident, successful, moral leaders. We were beyond excited to work with them and share the encouragement and positivity this organization brings. Anyone arriving to the event, including us, was greeted with smiles and positivity. During the event, a DJ kept the beat bopping while runners and organizations got to interact. The TVS team was excited to share important information about leg vein health.
We were so thankful to have been a part of the event and to have met so many wonderful people in our community. We are so thankful to have been able to attend and have great conversations with great, driven people.

The last 5k event we sponsored this summer was the Cruise in Shoes event, presented by Huntington, on August 20th. This event was filled with both running and car enthusiasts as it took place the same day as the annual Woodward Dream Cruise event. Like the past two races, the participants were ecstatic to be there. We were excited as well, not only to make more connections but to continue to share more information about varicose vein health.

Taking the time to share information with members in our community about varicose veins, venous insufficiency, and addressing common misconceptions is important to us. Varicose veins are a common medical condition, and it is important to address common misunderstandings when it comes to venous health. It was an incredible experience meeting so many amazing people, and we are grateful to have been a part of these three events. The TVS team looks forward to attending more events in the future, and by spreading some of our knowledge, we hope to continue to make a positive impact.
